1. How do I find Gramercy Place?

For directions from Greyhound, Union Station, and LAX you can click on our DIRECTIONS page. If you are traveling from other locations, check www.metro.net if using public transportation and www.mapquest.com if driving.

2. Is there an age limit?

There is no age limit here. Children and Seniors are welcome. However, if you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

3. Do I need to bring sheets or towels?

While you are welcome to bring your own linens, we do provide them here free of charge.

4. Are there any deposits for keys or linens?

There is a $20 key and linen deposit. This will be refunded upon check-out provided your keys and linens are returned.

5. Are pets allowed?

Because of the shared environment, we cannot allow pets.

6. Can my friends visit?

Guests are allowed to visit between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. in any of our common areas. Guests are not allowed in the rooms at any time.

7. Is there a place to lock my valuables?

There is a drawer with a lock provided for each guest.

8. Is there Internet access?

There are two computer stations with free high-speed Internet. In addition, there is wireless Internet throughout the building.

9. Is there public transportation nearby?

There are several major bus lines within a few blocks of Gramercy Place. These buses go all night long to downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and Hollywood. The Red Line is a short bus ride away or a 15 minute walk.

10. Is there parking?

We don't have parking on the premises. However there is plenty of street parking. Street parking is free---no meters and no permits are required.

11. Do you have a weekly rate?

We have a discounted rate for stays longer than two weeks, provided you give a deposit of one week.

12. Are the dormitory rooms co-ed?

The rooms are same sex rooms only, unless there is a mixed group, traveling together, who wish to share a room.

13. How long can I stay?

We have a 28 day maximum stay unless you are a student attending one of the area language schools with whom we have special arrangements for extended stays.

14. Are any meals included?

No. Each person is responsible for taking care of his/her own meals.

15. Is there a curfew or lock-out?

There is no curfew or lock-out. As adults, you can come and go as you please.

16. Do I have to do chores?

While there are no chores assigned, we do expect that each guest wash his/her own dishes and keep the common areas clean.
