KAROLINA from POLAND:
We were so surprised how great the hostel works! Everything is so simple and planned. It was very clean, the atmosphere was amazing and the area was good. Kellie and her friend were both friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to everybody!
SAMUEL from NEW YORK:
An absolutely pleasant stay! My roommate, as well as the neighbors in the surrounding rooms, were welcoming and kind as well. There is a familial vibe as you stay here, and it's quite an experience to share your experiences of traveling as well as to listen to others experiences as well. Both Sheila and Kellie were incredibly welcoming and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this place to others. If you have any questions or concerns, contact them and I'm sure they'll be happy to help you around!
ARI from CANADA:
The house is so big, with so many pieces, comfortable, and I directly felt at home when I entered in Sheila and Kellie's place. Even if they aren't in the office they will make sure that you've got everything you need. Thanks for everything! The people in the house are pretty cool!
SABRINA from TEXAS:
This place is exactly as described! My stay was wonderful and check-in was flawless. You get way more for your money and that's for sure! Definitely staying here next time in town!
Thank you, Kellie
MARGUERITE from BELGIUM:
L'hôtel est assez confortable et bien entretenu. Le personnel est vraiment sympathique et attentif aux besoins des résidents. Les espaces communs, et privatifs sont nettoyés tous les jours.
ANDRE from GERMANY:
It is a really beautiful location, it's clean, you have everything you need and the people are really nice. The best accommodation for this price I have ever had. Great! There was nothing I didn't like. It's really amazing, didn't expect that. :)
JUSTIN from TEXAS:
Loved the hostel -- especially the great outdoor lounge area. There are discount marts nearby for cheap food and supplies. Bus stops nearby make it easy to get around town.
ILONA from MEXICO:
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Gramercy's and was positively stunned to find there everything I needed to make my stay as "homey" as possible. They have a really comfortable bed and all you could ever think of that you might need when not in your own home. A great place to stay short term or long term. The kitchen is fully equipped, nice outdoor terrace, living room area, and my favorite place was the beautiful library/living room area on the 2nd floor. Lots of light in the room and ample space to work at the desks or just sit and read. I also enjoyed the experience of hanging around multi-cultured people from all over the world. Kelly and Sheila, both very warm and helpful people. I would most definitely stay at Gramercys again! Thank you!
KARTHIK from ARIZONA:
Excellent housing. Won't find anything as comfortable for the price. There are cheaper places, but nothing with as many amenities. The staff is also very helpful and will go out of their way to help you.
ANDREA from CANADA:
Gramercy Place was such an incredible experience. Centrally located, clean and cozy. The character of the old mansion was there in the bedrooms and the library. Kellie and her staff were very friendly. The downstairs kitchen had everything you could possibly think of cooking with (far above the standard of any hostel I had previously been to). The only thing that was very frustrating (and out of Kellie's control) was parking. It was so hard to find parking in the evening and street cleaning, special zones ended up costing me a couple hundred dollars in tickets. I would recommend Gramercy Place in a heartbeat, I would just suggest you take the bus. I will definitely come back and stay there.
RYOUMA from JAPAN:
This house has faith and respect. I spent a precious time for one month. 私は1ヶ月素敵な仲間に出会い有意義な時間を過ごす事ができた。
MATHILDE from FRANCE:
Kellie's hostel is a comfy, peaceful and friendly place. I had a great time there. I've met some great people there.
MONICA from CONNECTICUT:
I have stayed at hostels before but this is so much better. It is very clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Plus Stella the dog is a sweetheart. People staying here were from all over and the majority are friendly and respectful. Kitchen amenities and having multiple common spaces also a big plus. Also close to many bus lines if you are not driving and there are stores not too far walking distance. It is a generally safe area but I wouldn't wander around late at night. Close to downtown but some distance to the westside (i.e. Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, etc.) Also, free Wifi available but sometimes slow to connect. Overall I would recommend staying here and would do so again. 4 stars because parking is a challenge. GREAT value for a budget traveler.
KALPAK from INDIA:
The Student Housing was perfect for me when I moved to Los Angeles. The room was sufficient, kitchen well equipped, toilets clean, other guests were very friendly too. I had to cancel my reservation a bit early I promptly got my refund. Great place to stay if you are new to LA. Thanks, Kellie
VICTOR from BRAZIL:
Gramercy Place is a comfy big house, where I was feeling like I was home. The guests who live there are so friendly, including the Kellie and Sheila.
JOSE from GUATEMALA:
A really lovely place full of great people and incredibly located near everything in LA, it's definitely a place to stay on my next trip to LA.
